Current Responsibilities

As National Director of LaSalle Investment Management, Inc. and Chief Operating Officer of CalEast Global Logistics, LLC, Mr. Johnson is responsible for investment and operational performance of the assets under management for CalPERS. He directs a team of professionals located in Europe, Asia and North America who are responsible for implementation of all strategic initiatives of the portfolios.

Experience

Prior to becoming the COO for CalEast, he was the Platform Director for Facilities Management on the Bank of America assignment for Jones Lang LaSalle. Mr. Johnson was responsible for the 42 million SF of properties located throughout North America, Europe and Asia, business. Mr. Johnson has over 18 years of diverse experience in the real estate industry. Mr. Johnson brings a strategic focus in Client relationship management, Global asset and team management, innovation, strategy development and execution. He has worked both domestically and oversees with clients in the Utility, Financial, Insurance, and Investment Institutional Businesses.

Education and Affiliations

Mr. Johnson holds bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the United State Air Force Academy. He is a past recipient of four consecutive Management Excellence Awards for Jones Lang LaSalle, Property of the Year Award (2000) for Corporate Property Services, Cross Seller of the Year (2001 – 2003), Innovator of the Year (2004) and Client-Account of the Year (2004). He is an active member of IFMA and has a Green Belt in Six Sigma.
